Wedding in Arkansas
Requirement for getting a Arkansas Marriage License
You must be 18, and have a driver's license for ID....
There is no blood test or waiting period. The Boone County
Courthouse is open from 8:30 - 4, Monday thru Friday, excluding
holidays. The license is $53.00 cash U.S. dollars (starting July
1st, 2003 the license fee will go up to $58.00 for Caroll, Marion
and Newton counties). For age dispensation, or after - hours or
weekend licensing, contact:
Arkansas marriage license are valid for sixty
(60) days. License must be returned used or unused, within 60 days
for recording or a $100 Bond will be executed against all applicants
for license.
Medical/Blood Test & Proof of Residency: None
required in Arkansas
License may be used immediately or within the 60
days time limit. (There is no waiting period required
in Arkansas after a divorce is final)
The license may be used anywhere in the state of
Arkansas, but must be returned to the County Clerk's Office where
you applied for final recording.
No witnesses are required in Arkansas. Marriages
performed in Arkansas is recognized in all other states.
